  1. Purposes of data processing and grounds for processing

2.1 Accessing our website

When you visit our website, the browser on your device automatically sends information to our website’s server and temporarily stores it in a so-called log file. We have no influence on this.

The following information is also stored without your intervention and saved until it is automatically deleted:

In so far as the GDPR applies to this, the processing of the IP address and other data takes place on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest stems from the purposes of data collection listed below. However, your identity cannot be immediately deduced from the data collected and we will not do so.

We use your device’s IP address and the other data specified above for the following purposes:

The data is stored for a period of 52 days and then automatically deleted. Furthermore, we use so-called cookies and tracking procedures on our website. The exact procedures and data used for this purpose are explained in more detail in section 2.3.

2.2. Data processing within the framework of the contact form

If you provide us with your e-mail address and name via the contact form, we will contact you in connection with your request. You may withdraw your consent to the use of your e-mail address at any time, free of charge. To do so, please send us a short message (privacy@heylengroup.com).

Your personal data will be deleted one year after the conclusion of the last contact.

2.3. Online contacts and website optimisation

2.3.1 Cookies – Algemene informatie

We make use of so-called cookies on our website. These are small files which your browser automatically creates and which are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. If these cookies are personal data, they are used on the basis of Article 6 (1) f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the optimisation of our website. Cookies do not damage your device, do not contain viruses, Trojan horses or other malware. The cookie stores information that is in any case related to the device used. This does not mean that we get to know your identity immediately. You therefore use our website as anonymously as possible.

The use of cookies serves to make the use of our website better and more pleasant for you. We use so-called session cookies to recognise that you have visited our website. These cookies are automatically deleted after leaving our site. In addition, for reasons of user-friendliness, we use temporary cookies, which are stored on your end device for a certain period of time. If you visit our site again to use our services, it will automatically recognise that you have already been here and which items and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again.

On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically track and evaluate the use of our website in order to optimise our website. These cookies allow us to automatically recognise that you have visited our website before. These cookies are automatically deleted after a certain period.

Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or so that a message always appears before a new cookie is created. However, switching off cookies completely may result in you not being able to use all the functions of our website.

The retention period of cookies varies and depends on the intended use.

2.3.2 Google Analytics

For the needs-based design and continuous optimisation of our web pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. In this context, pseudonymised user profiles are created and cookies are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website, such as

and possibly further information are transmitted to a Google server in the United States and processed on our behalf. The information is used to evaluate the use of the Heylen Group website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services relating to website and Internet use for market research purposes and needs-based design of these Internet pages.

This information can also be passed on to third parties if this is legally required or if third parties process this data on behalf of the company. Your IP address will not be merged with other Google data under any circumstances. The IP addresses are made anonymous so that identification is not possible (so-called IP masking).

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You may also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of such data by Google by downloading and installing this browser add-on. As an alternative to the browser add-on, you can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data, particularly for browsers on mobile devices, by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website, and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again. Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found on the Google Analytics website.

2.3.4 Use of Google Invisible reCAPTCHA

For some of our functions, this website uses “Invisible reCAPTCHA”, a service from Google Inc. This ensures that the registration of your data actually takes place via a human being and that misuse via machine-induced use is excluded as far as possible. For this purpose, Google processes various data, including the IP address of the device used for registration, as well as other information indicating human intervention. The processing takes place both within Europe and in the USA (the transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the so-called Privacy Shield). Google does not merge the IP address received in the context of “Invisible reCAPTCHA” with data from other Google services. The privacy policy of Google applies, available at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

The data processing described above takes place on the basis of a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

The protection of our computer systems and in particular the protection of the functionality of our website should be considered a legitimate interest.

The provisions of this privacy statement regarding the general right of objection shall, of course, continue to apply.

  1. Recipients outside the EU

With the exception of the processing described under 2.3.2. and 2.3.4., we do not transfer your data to recipients outside the European Economic Area. The processing described under 2.3.2. and 2.3.4. involves a transfer of personal data to the servers of Google Inc. located in the USA. The data will be transferred in accordance with the principles of the so-called EU-US Privacy Shield.

  1. Always under your control! Your data protection rights

In addition to the right to withdraw your consent, you also have the following rights in certain cases:

In addition, under Article 21(1) GDPR, an objection may be made to the processing of data on grounds relating to the particular situation of the data subject or for direct marketing purposes.

This general right of objection applies to all processing purposes described in this Privacy Statement that are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

According to GDPR, we are only obliged to introduce such a general objection if you give us reasons of great importance (e.g. possible danger to life or health).

  1. Security of data

All personal data transferred by you will be transmitted using the generally accepted and secure standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer). SSL is a secure and proven standard which is also used, for example, in online banking. You can recognise a secure SSL connection by the s connected to the http (i.e. https://…) in the address bar of your browser or by the lock symbol in your browser.

If you have any complaints, we are always ready to deal with them with care.
